A 130Te radioactive ion beam and a deuterated polyethylene target were used to perform the 130Te(d,p)131Te reaction in inverse kinematics. The low-lying single-neutron excitations of the 131Te nucleus were studied using position sensitive, silicon semiconductor detectors.
